The Computer Science Teachers Association is pleased to host its inaugural Chapter Leadership Summit immediately following this year's Annual Conference. The event will be held the day after the CSTA Annual Conference at the Town & Country Resort in San Diego on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Each chapter may send up to two (2) Chapter Leaders to participate in this professional development event exclusively for chapter leaders.  It will be an opportunity for chapters to network and share best practices.  Chapter leaders will get to directly engage in creating the future of CSTA.  Participants will also gain additional tools and leadership training to increase member engagement in their chapters.

The registration deadline is June 16, 2016 and space is limited, so please RSVP at your earliest convenience. There is no registration fee for this event.  CSTA will provide breakfast, snacks, and a boxed lunch.  Please note that the conference ends on Tuesday, July 12, and attendees will need to extend their stay at the hotel to ensure their accommodations. At this time, CSTA does not have funds to provide travel scholarships for the Chapter Leadership Summit.

Strong and healthy chapters are critically important to the future of the Computer Science Teachers Association.  We know that stronger chapters will create a strong association.  The Chapter Leadership Summit is designed to further strengthen each chapter and enable greater member engagement through chapters.  We would like to see at least one representative from nearly every chapter in attendance if possible.

We are so glad to be able to offer this opportunity and look forward to seeing you all in San Diego!
