With more than 200 sessions to choose from, we know that planning for the CSTA 2021 Conference might feel a little overwhelming. This year, sessions are aligned to the CSTA Standards for CS Teachers to help you find targeted PD to address your professional learning goals.
To make it easier to find sessions, CS teacher standards resource writers have made recommendations for sessions aligned to each indicator of the standards. We will publish these recommendations for one standard each day this week. Today’s focus is Standard 4. Instructional Design:
Effective CS teachers design learning experiences that engage students in problem solving and creative expression through CS, using pedagogical content knowledge (PCK). They plan to meet the varied learning, cultural, linguistic, and motivational needs of individual students in order to build student self-efficacy and capacity in CS.
