CSTA is pleased to announce the appointment of Hai Hong to the CSTA Board of Directors as a partner representative. Hong leads Computer Science Education Outreach at Google, where he previously held various roles in education and program management.
Before joining Google, he held roles at Roll Global (now renamed the Wonderful Company), the German Federal Foreign Office, and the Fulbright Commission in Berlin. Hong received his MS in International Education and BA in Psychology and German from the University of Southern California.  He also studied at the University of Vienna in Austria as a Fulbright Grantee.
“Having closely partnered with CSTA for the last five years in my computer science education work at Google, I’m honored and humbled to join the CSTA Board of Directors,” said Hong. “CSTA plays such a critical role in supporting the professional development and strengthening communities of CS teachers, and I’m excited to lend my experience in industry and partnerships to the organization’s continued success and growth.”
CSTA’s Board is comprised of 14 voting representatives, with 11 of those elected directly by CSTA’s membership. As a new member, Hong will work with the full board to set the direction of the organization, provide guidance to CSTA leadership, and promote CSTA’s mission to the greater education community.
