October is LGBTQ+ History Month and all of us at CSTA are very excited to celebrate and reflect on this time. With this in mind, CSTA will be hosting a virtual Pride affinity group meetup on Thursday, Oct. 6, from 6-7 p.m. CT. This month, we will be discussing the following topics:
- What kinds of things might a student who is lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender go through when coming out?
- What are some of your favorite LGBTQ+ resources or equitable approaches to use in your classroom?
This will be a virtual meetup with Zoom links and calendar invitations being sent out the day before the event. If you know of other CSTA members who would enjoy and thrive during this time together, we hope you'll encourage them to register, too. We can't wait to see you soon!
