Sacred Heart University will be sponsoring Code.org workshops for elementary educators throughout the state this spring. The no-cost one-day workshop Computer Science Fundamentals will be led by CT teachers who are Code.org-trained facilitators. This workshop is a fantastic introduction to teaching computer science in grades K-5 for elementary classroom teachers, library media specialists, math/science specialists, technology teachers, and administrators. What's in a workshop?
In-person instruction including an intro to computer science, pedagogy, overview of the online curriculum, teacher dashboard, and strategies for teaching "unplugged" classroom activities.
All costs are covered by Code.org
There is no charge for these workshops and attending teachers will also receive:

• Classroom supplies for unplugged lessons
