Welcome to Metro Omaha CSTA Chapter 

The Metro Omaha CSTA Chapter is made up of a number of PK-12

educators and university faculty who are interested in the teaching

and learning of computing at the elementary, middle, and secondary levels.

During the months of August-May, the Metro Omaha CSTA Chapter meets

monthly on UNO’s campus to discuss upcoming events, ongoing projects,

and hear about new approaches to teaching computing. Meetings are open

to all who wish to attend. Meeting are on the second Monday of the month.

Meetings are located at UNO Peter Kiewit Institute at 6:30 p.m. in Room 250.

Lauren Mock wrote on the CSTA Chapters: Metro Omaha wall: The Beauty and Joy of Computing is accepting applications to its computer science principles summer professional development workshops through June 1. Don't miss out on this opportunity! BJC is a College Board endorsed curriculum and professional development provider for the AP Computer Science Principles course. The cost of the workshop is only $75 and includes all materials and ongoing support and mentorship throughout the school year by our BJC Master Teachers. Teachers who complete the requirements will be eligible for a $500 stipend, and additionally, reimbursements for travel, lodging, and meal expenses. Attending a BJC PD workshop is the equivalent of attending an AP Institute.
