CSTA Affinity Groups

CSTA Affinity Groups provide a space for CSTA members to connect with other members who share a common identity or interest. These spaces provide members with an additional place to belong and grow. CSTA Affinity Groups host events, connect year-round via the CSTA Virtual Community and provide opportunities for members to meet with one another at CSTA in person and virtual events.

How to Start an Affinity Group

Notice we're missing an affinity group? Apply to start one by filling out the application here! We'll ask you to outline group goals, add additional interested leaders, and commit to ongoing engagement. We review these applications on a rolling basis, and look forward to welcoming new affinity groups to help CSTA members connect!
 

Why You Should Join an Affinity Group

Affinity groups provide another way to find your community within CSTA. In addition to creating space for connection, Affinity Groups commit to the following each year:
  • Host two events per year
  • Host two meet-ups per year, including one held during a Summit
  • Host a meetup at conference
  • Create community year-round through the Virtual Community space
  • Share resources
